It’s going to be a day of outdoor fun for one of South Africa’s most prominent financial and risk services companies, at its 2007 year-end party on 23 November. The company has opted for an action packed outdoor programme and has appointed events company Stephanie Moss Solutions to produce it.

According to Stephanie Moss, MD of Stephanie Moss Solutions, the Kyalami Sport and Function Centre, in Kyalami, Johannesburg is the chosen venue and has been booked exclusively for the entire afternoon and evening.

She adds: “The party starts with an early lunch and after that, staff will have every conceivable opportunity to let their hair down and celebrate the hard work and successes of the past year.  Among the outdoor activities we’ll be offering are beach volleyball, action cricket, fooseball, dunk tanks, mechanical bulls and gladiator jousting. We will also be creating a chill room with couches, bean bags and arcade games, as well as a games section with pool tables, table tennis, air hockey and pinball machines. Add to that, DJs on site and a number of different dance floors for people to kick up their heels and dance the afternoon away, if that’s what appeals to them. In other words, there will definitely be something for everybody.”

To ensure that Eskom’s load shedding programme doesn’t rain on the parade, the forward-thinking events company has even secured a generator for the occasion!

Moss concludes: “We’ve noticed a definite trend this year towards outdoor sporting events rather than traditional sit-down dinner parties, for year-end events.  It seems that people are determined to learn how to play again, and that’s a wonderful development in my view!”
