Solutions Group worked on another great leisure get away at Sun City.
The refurbishments all over the complex are very well done indeed and the main hotel now known as Soho with its upmarket concept restaurants, total over haul of the casino and the grown up slightly sophisticated look and feel and social aspect around it are all nicely put together.
What was previously known as the Entertainment Centre is now called the Convention Centre and it is world class. I cannot rave enough about the standards and calibre of the facilities and décor of all the venues. My personal favourite being Warriors Hall which takes up to around 450 delegates / guests for dinner.
This is where we had a surprise Awards dinner with upscale décor with a toned down dress code. This certainly made for interesting contrasts!
The Shebeen is a win for a private function or to pop into when it is open to the public. We love the ambiance of it. Really authentic. Sun City puts on a great Braai menu and the quarts of beer, ciders and alcopops are a novelty and a win all round – plus they are priced right.
The Valley of Waves – VOW – is looking great and has been modernised and the service received at all vendors, food outlets, on the beach is good. They have also added a number of new exhilarating rides.
This is a great venue for a private Beach party after hours.
At no stage did our large group of nearly 500 guests feel over crowded or that there was anything ‘iffy’ about being on ostensibly a ‘public beach’!
The Brew Monkey is a fairly new addition to the resort situated above the Valley of Waves and has a great atmosphere for casual dining and a couple of social indoor/outdoor liquid refreshments! You have to try it – we always include it for casual lunches.
